Masaya's art intends to alter the traditional codes of perception. The three-dimensional square structure with delicate folds and curvature underscores the ambiguity which is a hallmark of his art. Works that can be considered between three-dimension and two-dimension, the artist aims to create a space for contemplation and contemplation for the observer.

Masaya's work can be described as both painting and sculpture. The important thing is that the work is always outside the existing framework.  He says it pleases me if, for example, when a work is exhibited, I don't know whether it should be on the wall, on a stand or on the floor.
Masaya Eguchi attempts to place the reliefs in the corner compartments of the wall to move the work further away from the wall, which gives the work a feeling of floating, as if it stays in the hollow, compared to other works where the work itself floats up from the wall.
